CANADA DAY 2017
Canada is celebrating its 150th Year of Confederation! To celebrate this special event in Berlin, a large Canada Day Party will be taking place on July 1st, 2017 on the grounds of the BRLO Brwhouse. With doors open at 12 noon, the festivities include a range of Canadian culinary specialties, craft beer, as well as a diverse entertainment program. The highlight of the evening will be a performance of the Toronto based band The Hidden Cameras.
On July 1st, 1867 the Constitution Act (formerly known as the British North America Act) came into effect and established the Dominion of Canada by the confederation of the North American British colonies of the Province of Canada, the Province of New Brunswick, and the Province of Nova Scotia. This date is annually celebrated by Canadians at home and abroad every July 1st, and for the second year in a row, festivities in the German Capital will take place at BRLO Brwhouse in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district.
